Paradise Expanding at Healthy Pace

Paradise Post recently spoke with Community Development and Planning Director Craig Baker about a large number of promising expansions around town.

First, a lot on Nunneley and Sawmill roads has been largely cleaned of brush and old buildings that posed a potential fire hazard. And on Elliot Road and Skyway, a permit for a new cell tower has cleared and is ready to be issued.

Up the road at 9034 Skyway, progress on Pheasant Ridge Commons' 26 unit complex continues steadily. Built with senior communities in mind, two buildings have already been completed and filled since September, Baker says.

Meanwhile, plans for new properties in Lynn's Plaza on Skyway and Bader Mine Road are being drawn up. At a recent community meeting, the owner hinted that it may be used for a coffee shop, a restaurant, and an accompanying parking lot, Paradise Post's Trevor Warner reports.

Finally, clearing has begun near Wells Fargo Bank for a new medical facility. Dubbed the Hunter-Hanosh Project, this 6000 sq ft facility could be up around spring if the winter isn't too harsh.

Paradise is sure to become busier and better than ever when these projects are completed.
